Enter a world where the party doesn't stop until long after the sun rises!

It's 5:30am. Exuberant, sweaty bodies are still spellbound by the pulsating electronic beats that the DJ pounds through the thick, dark air. Many have been dancing for hours now, and with no intention of stopping, head to another after-hours club that opens its doors at dawn to a teeming mass of "Sceners".

Praised by partiers as one of the best after-hours scenes in North America. and famous worldwide for its intensity, Toronto's "Scene" has built its reputation on a strikingly unique underground electronic music culture, a boundary-pushing mentality, and an intrinsic openness to anything and anyone. Illegal "party drugs" have become growing staples in the after-hours culture, whether for the energy rush they provide, or for their intoxicating effects. But what lies beneath it all? Are all these people allied in some way, bound intrinsically by the music?  Even amid the controversy, the scene continues to grow, rapidly emerging from the underground.

AFTER HOURS is a short, multi-faceted documentary that uncovers the essence of Toronto's controversial after-hours scene from multiple perspectives, including those of DJs, club owners, promoters, and finally the patrons, or "sceners".
